#BREAKINGNEWS : Indonesian Underground Veterans ABETTOR OF SATAN Return After Nearly Three Decades with Re-Recorded Single "Voice From The Darkside"

-

SURABAYA, INDONESIA — Almost three decades after emerging from the Indonesian extreme underground scene, Surabaya-born extreme metal force ABETTOR OF SATAN has officially returned. The band has released a re-recorded version of their debut single, "Voice From The Darkside," available digitally across major streaming platforms starting September 17, 2026, via Bali Headbanger Music.

A Legacy Reclaimed Across Distances
Originally established in late 1996 under the name BURISROWO by guitarist Sugih Imam Prakoso (Imblessed Dagoth) and vocalist Essa Holopainen, the project officially became ABETTOR OF SATAN after Putra Pande (Satanas Black Corpse) joined in early 1997.
Blending primitive Black Metal aggression, Death Metal intensity, and ethnic pentatonic influences, the band forged a raw, ritualistic sound defined as Darkened Ethnic Death Metal. Their lyrics explore occultism, esoteric symbolism, anti-dogmatism, and human hypocrisy.

The original version of "Voice From The Darkside" was recorded in 1997 at Inferno Studio in Surabaya (owned by Samir of Slowdeath) and featured on the legendary Surabaya Underground Compilation. After years of inactivity, the members reconnected in early 2026. Working remotely across different regions—Putra Pande in Denpasar, Essa and Alan in Surabaya, and Sugih Imam Prakoso in East Kalimantan—they produced the updated track entirely online.

Clarifying their current intent, the band emphasized that this release is not part of a full catalog remake project, but rather a testament that ABETTOR OF SATAN once existed in the roots of Indonesian underground music and that their metal spirit remains alive.

The 2026 Concept & Lineup
The 2026 rendition of "Voice From The Darkside" delivers a structured, tempo-stable arrangement with modern production while preserving the raw, old-school atmospheric soul of the original composition. The song portrays a narrative of invisible calls guiding humanity toward the underworld, utilizing classic extreme metal symbolism to reflect on choices, power, fear, and obedience.

 * Alan Bisma Leontara (Black Warrior) – Vocals
